I am an academic and mindfulness meditation teacher who brings together the power and grace of ancient contemplative practices in an evidence-based, non-dogmatic, psychospiritual toolkit for finding and living your most creative life.
I am an accredited mindfulness meditation teacher registered on the UK Mindfulness Teachers Register and a registered yoga teacher (Yoga Alliance RYT-200). I am also currently completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Psychosynthesis Leadership Coaching through the Institute of Psychosynthesis.
Following a BA in English and Art History in my home country of America, I completed my MA and PhD in twentieth-century literature at the University of Leeds. From there, I worked for a number of years in Hong Kong, where my lifelong interest in contemplative traditions continued to grow. During my academic career, I have served as editor of Correspondences: Journal for the Study of Esotericism in addition to writing three books and a wide array of articles. Now as a Senior Lecturer in English Literature at the University of Surrey, I combine my academic research in contemplative studies with my mindfulness training and practices to help support cultural creatives.
